Something Wonderful is an independent website dedicated to feel-good news and human-interest stories. We look for the bright spots: neighbors helping neighbors, acts of kindness and courage, people overcoming the odds, faith and family, animals, heroes in uniform, and communities coming together.
Our Mission
There is plenty of bad news out there. Our mission is to balance it with true stories that lift people up and are worth sharing with friends and family. Many of our readers share a right-leaning outlook, and some of our stories reflect it, but goodness is not partisan, and we are happy to share an inspiring story wherever it comes from.
What We Publish
- Uplifting news about everyday people doing remarkable things.
- Human-interest stories about families, veterans, first responders, teachers, kids, and animals.
- Community and faith stories that show what people can do when they come together.

How We Work
Many of our stories build on reporting from local newspapers, TV stations, and other outlets, as well as public posts from the people involved. When a story builds on someone else’s reporting, we credit and link the original source so readers can read more. When we use a photo from a source article, we credit and link its source beneath the photo, and some images on the Site are illustrations rather than photographs of the actual event. Our goal is to add value by bringing the details together and telling the story well, not to copy anyone’s work.
Articles are published under our shared staff byline, Something Wonderful Staff. We use software tools, including AI-assisted tools, to help with research, drafting, and editing, and we remain responsible for everything we publish. You can read more in our Editorial Standards & Corrections Policy and our Disclaimer.
Independence and Advertising
Something Wonderful is supported by advertising. Advertisers do not decide what we cover or how we cover it, and advertisements are not endorsements by Something Wonderful. For details on how advertising and cookies work on this site, see our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
